It's really far from acceptable, there are many basic features that are missing, like proper offline mode, community or a social network build in inside the program. I always said to people that Origin is an ok-ish launcher, and that it's not that bad as everyone makes it out to be, didn't think it was this bad, think it might be the worse of them all.
